Foreign bombshells bombard Bollywood!

Bollywood seems obsessed with foreign bombshells! And why not? One after the other, the international beauties seem to keep making a mark. So the list is growing.

Arab Brazilian model Bruna Abdullah generated quite a buzz with I Hate Love Storys alongside Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor, while Welsh model Lisa Lazarus impressed with Salman Khan in Veer. Swedish-Iranian model and dancer Maryam Zakaria got a chance to shake a leg with Kareena Kapoor in Agent Vinod; that too for a mujra number.

Half-Sri Lankan half-Malaysian beauty Jacqueline Fernandez has been managing to bag quite a few movies like Housefull, Murder 2, Housefull 2 and even Aladin; co-starring megastar Amitabh Bachchan.Half-Czech half-Pakistani American fashion model and actress Nargis Fakhri became a sensation of sorts opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar, while South African Playboy model Candice Boucher romanced dashing debutant Sachiin Joshi in Aazaan. Not to forget the Uruguayan-Mexican actress and model Barbara Mori who starred opposite Hrithik Roshan in Kites.

That’s not all! There has been another Brazilian model Giselle Monteiro in Love Aaj Kal, Canadian model Mia Uyeda in Blood Money, British-born Amy Jackson in Ekk Deewana Tha, Irish-born British granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin, Kiera Chaplin in Chaurahen, Russian model Era Tsariova in Cigarette Ki Tarah and Indian Brazilian model Nathalia Kaur in Department.

And as if so many foreign beauties weren’t enough, the latest to join the firang-babes bandwagon is the stunningly beautiful half-German half-Indian international model Evelyn Sharma, who has managed to bag more than three movies even before her first release.

Her impressive line-up includes Manish Tiwary’s Issaq opposite Prateik Babbar, veteran filmmaker Pramod Chakravorty’s grandson Prateek Chakravorty’s debut film From Sydney With Love, and a pivotal role in Ayan Mukerji’s Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani; the Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer under Karan Johar’s banner Dharma Productions.

So what makes Evelyn so special than all the other hotties? A surprising fact is that the girl has already completed over a hundred assignments in India in the last few months, since migrating here! Plus, inspite of her half-foreign origins, she dubs in Hindi for herself! Way to go girl!

Gautam Vora’s ‘alcoholic’ allegation hurts Viveka Babajee’s family!

Viveka Babajee’s family is extremely hurt about an article in a prominent daily which states, “(Gautam) Vora has claimed he didn’t want to marry Babajee as she was older than him and an alcoholic…”

“It’s almost been two years since Viveka’s demise. Just because the girl is no longer alive; does that give people a right to say anything now,” asked Dale Bhagwagar, the spokesperson for Viveka Babajee’s family.

Earlier, after Viveka’s death, through a statement, her family had asserted that Gautam Vora had lied to the Police, having told them that he was just “good friends” with Viveka. Gautam’s friend Viren Shah, had given interviews to the media stating that Viveka used to be in depression.

“Viveka’s family had strongly refuted the ‘depression theory’ that was being floated after her demise,” said Bhagwagar. The family had even released pictures of Gautam and Viveka together, just to prove that the couple was much more than friends.

Through the statement, her mother Dayawanti Babajee had conveyed that Viveka had discussed her boyfriend Gautam several times with her over the phone, and told her mother that Gautam had proposed, and that she had agreed to marry him. She had also stated that Viveka had even made Gautam speak to her once over the phone.

According to her mother, Gautam had asked Viveka to go for a fertility test to see if she could bear him a baby and also that the couple had matched their horoscopes and were happy that most points, except one, had tallied.

Viveka Babajee family flummoxed with report about reopening case!

report in a section of the media has got the Viveka Babajee family flummoxed. The report incorrectly claims that the family of the deceased supermodel and Bollywood actress is considering “re-opening” her case after “fresh taint on main suspect (Gautam) Vora,” following revelations made by Vijay Palande and Simran Sood in the Arunkumar Tikku and Karankumar Kakkad murder cases.

Quoting an unnamed “friend” of Babajee’s throughout, the said article also discusses various other aspects of the case. It goes on to state that “Vora’s arrest on Monday, as well as revelations of an affair by co-accused starlet Simran Sood,  have brought Babajee family to rethink exploring their legal options in having her suicide case reinvestigated.”

Dale Bhagwagar, the official spokesperson for the Viveka Babajee family, has denied any such development.

“I spoke to members of Viveka’s family after this report appeared and they categorically told me that there was no such immediate move to re-open the case. In fact, they are unaware of the origin of this report and have requested the media to thoroughly verify their facts before going ahead with such unconfirmed news on Viveka Babajee,” said the spokesperson.

“But if the cops decide to quiz Gautam Vora about Viveka to find out the truth behind her demise, her family would welcome the development and fully cooperate with the Police,” Bhagwagar stated.

He however added, “Viveka’s mother Dayawanti Babajee stays in Mauritius and has completely relied on the Mumbai Police to investigate her daughter’s demise. If the Police find concrete evidence about Gautam Vora being directly linked to the death of Viveka Babajee, the family might reconsider its stance.”

Sachiin Joshi goes the Aamir Khan way for Mumbai Mirror!

Gone are the days when Shah Rukh Khan would sport the same look, irrespective of whether he was playing the romantic Raj in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge or the depressed Devdas.

Experimenting with looks is the in-thing and Bollywood actors have begun going to great lengths to get the skin of their characters. Salman Khan toned his body further and added a moustache for Dabangg. Akshay Kumar will follow suit playing a policeman in Rowdy Rathore. Aamir Khan actually grew a moustache to fit into the cop’s role in Talaash. And as if these are not enough, Bollywood has a new chameleon now.

Sachiin Joshi, whose debut film Aazaan stunned the industry with its amazing action and production values last year and even bagged a Stardust Award for it, is pulling all stops to play a quirky cop in his next film Mumbai Mirror.

To begin with, just like Aamir, the actor is growing a stylish moustache for it, instead of going for a fake one. “Having the perfect look goes a long way in making the character look authentic. Its amazing, the way Aamir manages to change his look to suit his character in almost every movie he does,” remarks Sachiin.

But the newbie is not just stopping at a facial change! Just as Aamir did for his other film Ghajini, Sachiin is undergoing rigorous physical training, with his trainer having put him on a strict diet regimen too. Having lost a lot of kilos and toned up his body, the Aazaan star aspires to look every bit of the tough but whimsical cop he portrays in Mumbai Mirror.

Directed by Ankush Bhatt, of Bhindi Bazaar Inc. fame, the movie mirrors the Mumbai underbelly and revolves around the nexus between powerful corrupt dance bar lords and the Mumbai Police.

New twist in Viveka Babajee case?

Kashmera Shah sparkles and dazzles at 3am on Madh Island!

Firebrand Kashmera Shah never fails to surprise us! Just as we thought the girl was creating a record of sorts by being robbed (Kash got robbed twice in a month a few days ago), she is all set to do an about-turn and rob others this time round! The only difference being — her targets are people’s hearts!!

Yes! Anyone who has witnessed Kash perform a certain raunchy item song titled “Boneless Biryani” (ouch!) in her next movie Mr. Money starring beau Krushna in the lead, hasn’t stopped raving about her electrifying performance.

Insiders say that this catchy tapori number composed by Sanjeev-Darshan is of the kind that ruled the roost during the golden times of Krushna’s uncle Govinda, as he paired up with the indomitable Karisma Kapoor in various superhits.

What’s more! Its thrills are designed by none other than ace actor-choreographer Prabhu Deva’s brother Vishnu Deva, while the film is produced by Sunil Gulani and Anand Gupta.

“The raw energy Kashmera exudes in the song is maddeningly crazy. She’s gonna shock, stun and scandalize everyone,” quips her director Rikshhit Matta. “So magnetic is the mesmerizing effect, that when we shot this number in a Punjabi dhabha’s lawns at Madh Island this week, the word spread like wildfire and a huge crowd gathered to watch Kashmera dazzle and sparkle even at 3am,” he reveals.

Gosh! That’s some praise coming the damsel’s way! We just hope this number doesn’t make all of us blind with all that brightness when the movie releases in August this year. Tch tch!
