Shakti Kapoor evicted after facing humiliation in Bigg Boss!

After being humiliated by most Housemates in the last few days of his stay in the Bigg Boss House, ‘Aaoo’ man Shakti Kapoor, who had entered the House with 12 ladies amid much fanfare and widespread speculation, faced defeat this week, as he lost out in votes to lesser known names like Mahek Chahal, Pooja Bedi and Shradha Sharma.

Shakti had entered the House performing to the number Bachna Ae Haseeno Lo Main Aa Gaya, but by the time he left, he was the one who seemed to need all the ‘saving’.

While the actor was said to have entered the reality show to rectify his image spoilt by the sting operation India TV had carried on him a few years ago, he seems to have returned from Bigg Boss with his image marred further.

Some also link his eviction to his earlier spat with the show’s co-host Salman Khan, which Shakti also indirectly discussed with another contestant on the show.

The Bollywood villain was not only seen playing politics with the Housemates, but also received flack when he slapped Miss Afghanistan Vida Samadzai’s butt on the show. Vida, who had become his good friend in the initial days, deserted him as she felt he was indulging in bitching and back-biting.

Shakti’s many other ways with the ladies on the show were abhorred, and now the actor is left with a more tarnished image than ever before.

When we asked celebrity publicist and Bigg Boss specialist Dale Bhagwagar about the extent of damage Brand Shakti Kapoor has undergone, he remarked, “The situation is not so bleak and can still be controlled. Shaktiji may have been unable to prop up his image with the show, but he has surely benefited in terms of immense visibility. If he manages his PR well on his return to the outside world, he could still stand to be a winner.”

“What hit Shaktiji worst on the show was his long-time friend Pooja Bedi, repeatedly pointing out that he was not behaving like a gentleman, a good father, husband and family man. I guess, that negative branding hurt him the most,” adds Dale, sympathizing with the actor.

He analyses, “This situation was accelerated by the fact that while Shaktiji was being alienated by many Housemates and battled the onslaughts alone, he had absolutely no back-up support in terms of a PR machinery or management team outside the House, which could have done much to either justify his actions with his image, or at least dilute the negative impact, by portraying his actions in lighter vein. This was a big factor that went against him for garnering votes,” rues the PR expert.

Rakhi Sawant to approach Anna Hazare against Censor Board!

When Rakhi Sawant is angry, not many in the country can have the guts to stop her! The latest to face the ire of Bollywood’s biggest firecracker, is none other than the Censor Board, for having bleeped out the words ‘Choos Le’ (suck) from her song ‘Jawani Ki Bank Loot Le’ in her upcoming film Loot.

Rakhi insists that though the words could be controversial in nature when singled out, in her song, they have been used aptly and with the right connotations, without any vulgar or offensive meaning.

“If the Censor Board can pass songs like ‘Bhaag D.K. Bose’ (Delhi Belly) and ‘Jhak Maar Ke’ (Desi Boyz), why should they have a bias towards my song ‘Jawani Ki Bank Loot Le.’ Why am I being targeted by the Board, whereas John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan can get away with it,” Rakhi questions.

But since the Censor Board is in no mood to listen, Rakhi has decided to march straight up toIndia’s most famous anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare with her plea.

Confirming this, her publicist Dale Bhagwagar says, “It is true that Rakhi has decided to approach Anna Hazare. She is currently doing her research on songs which she considers vulgar and objectionable.”

He adds, “She plans to carry their videos and CD’s to Mr Hazare’s village Ralegan Siddhi in Ahmednagar. Rakhi wants Mr Hazare to judge for himself, whether her song ‘Jawani Ki Bank Loot Le’ is vulgar compared to the others passed by the Censor Board.”

Just for the record, the lyrics of Rakhi’s song read, “Main russ malaai hoon, jannat se aayee hoon, saamne parosi hoon, aake choos le… hey… saiyaan jawani ki bank loot le.”

Meera’s house ‘sealed’ in Pakistan!

Pakistani actress Meera who hit infamy inIndia, starting with controversies surrounding her debut film Nazar, is in trouble once again, this time in her home country.

Income tax officials inPakistan, are learnt to have sealed the house of the renowned actress, located in a posh residential area, for not paying property tax.

According to reports quoting the IT department there, the actress has defaulted in paying Rs 1,07,000/- of tax, despite many notices. A source claimed that Meera had rented the said house out to a family, and inspite of collecting the rent regularly, never bothered to pay the tax.

“Meera has always been controversy’s favourite child. But she is also a brave girl and a fighter. She has learnt to face life and come out of the most difficult situations with time,” said herIndiapublicist Dale Bhagwagar, adding that the actress is expected to visitIndiasoon to shoot for more movies.

Are Siddharth and Shonali ‘faking’ a romance for TRPs in Bigg Boss?

After the roaring heat generated by Ashmit Patel and Veena Malik on Bigg Boss last year, romance was definitely a missing link this season. But now that too, is about to become a thing of the past.

While India’s biggest House of Scandal continues to buzz with mind-boggling activity including daily catfights, Miss India International Shonali Nagrani and Wild Card entry Siddharth Bhardwaj have begun coochie-cooing like lovebirds on the reality show.

The latest episode caught the couple in the bedroom, exchanging sweet-nothings under the observance of night cameras, with Siddharth consoling and hugging Shonali and kissing her hand, while the girl seemed to reciprocate his every move.

“Siddharth has earlier won the reality show MTV Splitsvilla and knows how to play things up. If all goes well, we should have the first full-blown romance of this season on Bigg Boss in a few days,” says celebrity publicist Dale Bhagwagar, who is a specialist with reality shows, having handled the PR for some of the most popular contestants including Shilpa Shetty (Big Brother), Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sherlyn Chopra and Ashmit Patel (Bigg Boss).

When asked if Siddharth and Shonali are doing this for TRP’s, Dale remarks, “It doesn’t matter much, as long as they are providing the entertainment. Bigg Boss is a game and however much one thinks of it affecting society, one should not forget that all the Housemates know very well that they are wearing mikes around them and are surrounded by cameras 24×7. They have all gone on the show with personal agendas and roles to portray. They have all gone on it to play and win.”

Rakhi Sawant miffed with Censor Board!

Upset with the Censor Board for bleeping out the words ‘Choos Le’ (suck) from her song “Jawani Ki Bank Loot Le” in her upcoming film Loot, firecracker Rakhi Sawant is in attack mode this Diwali.

The lyrics of the song read, “Main russ malaai hoon, jannat se aayee hoon, saamne parosi hoon, aake choos le… hey… saiyaan jawani ki bank loot le.”

Rakhi insists that though the words could be controversial in nature when singled out, in her song they have been used aptly and with the right connotations, without any vulgar or offensive meaning.

The actress feels that the Censor Board is “biased”. “If they are so strict, why have they passed a song titled “Jhak Maar Ke” picturised on John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in Desi Boyz,” Rakhi shoots.

“If ‘Choos Le’ can be considered offensive, even ‘Jhak Maar Ke’ is a vulgar phrase. But the censors have allowed it to pass because the film has big stars in it,” she claims. “Even John’s dance steps in the song are in bad taste. He’s making distasteful gestures with his hand. I have no such gestures in my song,” she adds.

Shiney Ahuja takes legal action on ‘Bai commercial’

Even as Shiney Ahuja’s appeal to the Mumbai High Court is pending hearing, his difficulties seem to be growing. The critically acclaimed actor, who had to spend time in jail after being accused of raping his house maid (a charge he has constantly denied), is shocked by an advertisement rolled out by Micromax Mobile, this week. The said advertisement, tagged as the ‘Bai commercial’, tries to take a humorous dig at the Bollywood star out on bail.

The advertisement, which is said to have been made especially for the Diwali season, has infuriated Shiney, who has sought legal action on the mobile company.

Conforming this, the actor’s publicist Dale Bhagwagar said, “Shiney has sent a legal notice to the mobile company as the advertisement amounts to willful character assassination”.

“As we know, Shiney had challenged his conviction and the Mumbai High Court has admitted his appeal, which is currently pending hearing. For the mobile company to air such a commercial influencing public opinion when Shiney’s appeal is pending hearing, is equivalent to contempt of Court,” he added.

Shiney, who is best known for his films Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Sins, Life In A Metro, Woh Lamhe, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Gangster, is expected to be back in action with the release of his upcoming movies Ek Accident, Ghost, Chaloo Movie and Har Pall.
